Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Service (including the Mr. Lambert AI counselor), you agree to these terms.
What the Service is
Lambert's Grove is a private tool for high-school students and their parents / counselor (if they have one) to research colleges, build application shortlists, and have AI-assisted counselor conversations about the college-application process. The Mr. Lambert AI counselor is a Large Language Model (Claude by Anthropic) with a custom persona; it is not a licensed counselor and should not be substituted for human guidance on consequential decisions.
Acceptable use
Use the Service only for college-application research and planning. Do not attempt to use Mr. Lambert for unrelated purposes (homework help in other subjects, generating essays you would submit as your own, etc.). Mr. Lambert will decline off-topic requests; respect that boundary.
Free trial
A saved account gets 7 days of full access, free. A day counts only when the student or a parent signs in and uses the Service, and the 7 days must be used within 30 calendar days of the first. Without a plan after the trial, everything already saved stays visible (the read, the list and essay drafts), but nothing new is generated.
Payment and refunds
There are two plans: $39 for 30 days or $175 for 12 months, each a single one-time payment for one student's family. Nothing renews and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy again; buying another 30 days adds them to any time you have left. A 30-day payment made in the 120 days before you buy the 12-month plan counts toward it. A plan covers three logins: the student and up to two parents.
A payment is refundable in full within 7 days, provided no essay feedback has been generated on the account since that payment. After essay feedback has been generated, or after 7 days, it is non-refundable: the coaching has been delivered and cannot be returned. Requests go to hello@lambertsgrove.com. We may make exceptions at our discretion where the Service has failed to work as described. A refund ends paid access; essay drafts can be exported at any time, and we recommend keeping your own copy.
AI limitations
Mr. Lambert may occasionally state inaccurate facts about colleges (e.g., misattributing varsity sports or specific programs). The Service includes a fact-checking pass on long writeups. Verify any specific factual claim (varsity sports, named scholarships, specific programs, faculty) against the college's own website before relying on it.
No warranty
The Service is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. Your college-application decisions are your own; we are not responsible for outcomes based on information the Service provides.
